The Indian Rollers (Coracias benghalensis)were
showing off their vibrant colours.
Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer cafer).
These birds seems to be very restless , we had
to run around a lot to get a shot. Finally we

The Hume's Wheatear (Oenanthe albonigra)
which is commonly found in the Gulf region.

Golden reflection!
You got some lovely shots! I think I like the golden reflection shot best.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely selection.
ReplyDeleteThe colours of the Indian Roller are very striking. What a beauty.
And the golden reflection is so warming and peaceful.
Those Rollers are stunning. Would love to see one of those in the flesh. I agree with the other two comments that golden reflection is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photographs. That last one is so peaceful. Thanks and enjoy your evening.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed looking at all these bird shots. Thanks for sharing them with us. The last picture is really nice too.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots. I really liked the ones of the Indian Roller in flight. I agree with the others about the last photo. It's beautiful!

ReplyDeleteThankyou for your kind comments on our Blog.

Hey there, Gee---your temperatures are HIGH... That's 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Woooo... Do you have humidity also??? We think it's unbearable here in Tennessee when it gets up to 90 degrees.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures though... I'll bet the water feels good on such a hot day.
Hugs,
Betsy
You got a wide variety of species. It sound like the park is a good place to take a walk, but you scare me with the talk of those temperatures.
ReplyDeleteI especially like "Golden Reflection"!
49 degrees!!!! It has been about 12 here and lots of heavy rain :(
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the photos, so interesting to see birds we don't have here in the UK.
I love the wing pattern on the Indian Rollers...beautiful flight shots that really showcase their beautiful wings. 120 degrees F!! That is very hot. The hottest it's ever been in Cincy is 104 degrees... I've been in 110 in Cancun, Mexico. I can only imagine what 120F feels like.
ReplyDeleteThis Is What I Call As Simply Amazing !! Really Fantastic Photographs !! I Really Appreciate Your Blog..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. I agree that the Indian Rollers are fascinating - a bird I've never heard of. And the Golden Reflection - just lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating and lovely blog you have here, from a part of the world that feels far away to me. Your writing and photography remind me that we all have the same things in common: evening walks with our children, recreation where we live, and sunsets. Thank you for sharing these, and for visiting my blog this week.
